PART A: TERMS OF SERVICE (BOOKINGS & TRANSPORT)
These terms apply to the booking of chauffeur services provided by GMH Chauffeur Service LTD (formerly GM HIRE LTD). By booking a journey with us, you agree to these terms.
1. CONTRACT OF SERVICE
1.1. A booking constitutes an offer by you to purchase Services in accordance with these Terms.
1.2. The contract is only formed when we issue a written confirmation (via email) of the booking.
1.3. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
2. PRICING AND PAYMENT
2.1. Quotes: All quotes are based on the information provided. Any changes to the itinerary (extra mileage, additional stops, or time) may result in price adjustments.
2.2. Payment: Payment terms will be specified upon booking. Unless a corporate account is established, payments must be cleared prior to the journey.
2.3. Confirmation: You must notify us via email once payment is made. Failure to confirm payment may result in the cancellation of the service.
3. WAITING TIME AND DELAYS
To ensure efficiency, strictly defined complimentary waiting times apply.
3.1. Airport & Station Collections:
- Included: We track your flight/train. The driver will enter the arrival hall after the flight lands.
- Free Wait Time: 60 minutes complimentary waiting time is included starting from the time the flight lands (or scheduled pickup time if specified).
- Overtime: After 60 minutes, waiting time is charged. Parking fees incurred after the complimentary period will be added at cost.
3.2. Non-Airport Collections (Address/Hotel):
- Free Wait Time: 15 minutes complimentary waiting time from the booked pickup time.
- Overtime: After 15 minutes, waiting time charges apply retrospectively to the original pickup time.
3.3. Waiting Time Rates:
- E-Class / Business Class: £30.00 per hour (billed in 15-minute increments).
- S-Class / V-Class / First Class: £50.00 per hour (billed in 15-minute increments).
4. CANCELLATION AND “NO SHOW” POLICY
Our cancellation policy is designed to compensate for the exclusive reservation of a vehicle and driver.
4.1. Standard Bookings:
- More than 4 hours notice: No Charge (Full Refund).
- Less than 4 hours notice: 50% of the journey price is charged.
- Less than 2 hours notice: 100% of the journey price is charged.
4.2. Wedding Bookings:
- More than 1 month notice: Deposit is forfeited.
- Less than 7 days notice: 100% of the total hire cost is payable.
4.3. No Show:
If the passenger fails to meet the driver at the designated pickup location and does not contact us or the driver within the complimentary waiting period, the job will be classified as a “No Show.” The full cost of the journey is payable.
5. PASSENGER CONDUCT & SAFETY
5.1. Alcohol & Drugs: We reserve the right to refuse entry to any person who is visibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or whose behavior poses a threat to the safety of the driver, vehicle, or other road users. No refund will be provided in these instances.
5.2. Smoking: All vehicles are strictly non-smoking (including e-cigarettes/vapes).
5.3. Damage & Soiling: You are responsible for any damage caused to the interior or exterior of the vehicle by you or your party.
- Soiling Charge: A specialist valet fee (Minimum £50, up to £150 depending on severity) will be charged for any soiling that requires the vehicle to be taken out of service for cleaning.
5.4. Seatbelts: Passengers must wear seatbelts at all times in accordance with UK law.
6. LUGGAGE
6.1. It is the passenger’s responsibility to select a vehicle class suitable for their luggage requirements.
6.2. For safety and legal compliance, luggage must fit in the boot/trunk. Luggage will not be carried in the passenger cabin.
6.3. If the luggage exceeds the vehicle’s capacity, we reserve the right to refuse transport, and the full booking fee will remain payable.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
7.1. Performance: GMH Chauffeur Service LTD will make every reasonable effort to ensure the vehicle arrives on time. However, we cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control (Force Majeure), including but not limited to:
- Severe traffic delays or road closures.
- Extreme weather conditions.
- Mechanical breakdown (in such cases, we will endeavor to arrange a replacement vehicle).
7.2. Missed Connections: We are not liable for any loss due to missed flights, trains, or meetings resulting from unforeseen road delays. Passengers are advised to plan their journey with sufficient contingency time.
7.3. Lost Property: We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle. If found, we will facilitate their return at the passenger’s expense.

These terms apply to your use of www.gmhire.co.uk (the “Site”). By accessing this Site, you agree to these terms.
2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on this Site (text, images, logos) is owned by or licensed to GMH Chauffeur Service LTD. You may not use any content for commercial purposes without our written consent.
3. SITE AVAILABILITY
We do not guarantee that our Site will be secure, bug-free, or available at all times. We are not liable for any loss or damage caused by viruses or other technologically harmful material that may infect your equipment.
4. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Where our Site contains links to other sites, these are provided for information only. We have no control over the contents of those sites and accept no responsibility for them.
5. APPLICABLE LAW
These Terms of Use and Terms of Service are governed by English law. You and we both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
